It may only be the middle of the week, but Megan Thee Stallion has been a fixture in the headlines.
First, it was another layer to the legal wrangle with her record label.
Now, it’s relating to the court case against Tory Lanez, who has been charged with shooting her in the foot.

As widely reported, the Canadian has been charged with one felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm after the shocking incident saw Meg bleeding after a car ride with the performer on July 12, 2020.
The nature of the case means there are a number of formalities and pre hearings and motions that occur before Lanez stands trial.
One such hearing took place today and promoted personality DJ Akademiks to take to social media claiming:
“BREAKING. It was revealed in court few moments ago that Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case.”
Clearly annoyed, Meg hit back with:
She went on to add:
As if Lanez doesn’t have a packed plate of issues already, he weighed on via Twitter writing:
“…u can’t buy and tweet your way out of this one..not today.”
Understandably jarred, Megan clapped back with screen grabs of an alleged text exchange with Lanez – notably dated the same night of the shooting – that saw him apologizing.
The now-deleted post sported the following caption
“Lie yo way out of this…if you aint do sh*t what you was apologizing for?. THE LAWYERS GOT YO PHNE RECORDS AND MINE. ALL YOUR TXT. THEY GOT YOU RECORDED ON THE JAIL PHONE TALKING TO KELSEY APOLOGIZING BEGGING US NOT TO TALK.”
Responding, he wrote:
“Good D*ick had me fucking 2 best friends …. and I got caught … that’s what I apologized 4 . … it’s sick how u Spun it tho …”
But the drama didn’t end there.
Megan’s boyfriend, rapper Pardison Fontaine weighed in:
“@torylanez put the phone dwn let’s link .. you n me .. ain’t nothin to talk about. don’t tweet nothin else.. SEE ME..”
As of writing, the latest from Lanez read:
“…. @pardi we’ve had this encounter … u did nothing… put ya phone down big fella ….”
Sigh.
DJ Akademiks is a coward who makes a living out of bullying women online to cover for his irrelevant “career” and Tory Lanez should be locked up already. We stand with Megan
Lol how slow are you? Tory didn’t shoot meg her friend did with his gun. They were arguing in the suv , she grabbed the gun and it went off. Tory got charged because it was his gun. 👀
